What a co-inki-dink.. I'm doing some research on the same topic as well.
Assuming you're considering upgrading the power to the sub rather than the OEM amp which wouldn't push much more than the OEM sub driver.

There are quite a few threads in here on the topic, but it appears the constraints are limiting drivers to something shallow-mount in 8".. and something that will work "free-air" rather than requiring a smaller enclosure.. And the magnet can't be too wide or deep to bump into the bottom plate in the deck.

Depending on maybe fabricating a nice spacer, might be able to raise the sub a bit to give it some space but haven't seen much talk about it... One person mentioned this little dayton which looks beefy enough. Goooooood reputation with dayton drivers.. Their RS180 4ohm is a VERY good value / performance ratio mid, that I'm considering for front mids.

Also, one of these kicker ssmb8's was mentioned.. I wish I could find that thread now.. it's old.

Also Hybrid Audio just came out with some 8" mid-basses that might fit the bill.

Also.. maybe something like this Peerless SLS, if it fits..

It's almost like rolling the dice to see if the driver can be crammed in there.
