By less strain on the system I mean that when you turn on accessories or things like the /throttle/heater/defroster/hids you don't hear the alternator change pitch due to sudden spikes or drops in voltage. Personally I like it but I wouldn't say it makes a substantial difference by itself , a good grounding kit would be a good addition in this area too.
