if VIN starts with 1 = America
2 = Canada
5 = Mexico
J = Japan
I've seen civics with 1's 2's and J's most of them are built in Canada though so your VIN will start with 2.

4 can also mean America and 3 can also mean Mexico, and just to let you know your color is not indicated anywhere in your vin seeing as how if you decided to change the color it would be useless. Also the 10th digit is the year and the last seven are the production number for that year, so if your last seven are something like 00010 then you are very lucky. Also dealer intalled options like the HFP hit do not reflect in the vin.
