Don't get me wrong redshift makes great stuff and i can't wait to see some people with their SC/Turbo set ups but $7000? The HKS upgrade for EVO IV's is only 5000 (1/7 the cost of the car new), and its a full system upgrade.
Now i understand that the materials, manpower, and R&D in creating a complete bolt on kit is factored into the cost, and I also understand that because our application is lacking for a turbo solution, the development of a soild kit like this one also weighs in on the supply and demand aspect of business allowing for a greater cost.
but heres my question, why not make it more affordable? price it around 4.5k and make profit in the quanuantity of kits sold? i mean i'm sure 99% of the people on here would agree, with redshifts rep of great products and the over all demand for boost for our cars, more people would be inclined to pay around 4500 dollars (1/5 the cost of a civic) for this set up.
unless there is some ridiculous expendature i can't figure out, i don't see why this isn't possible.

The reason we have priced it like this is because we are giving you what you should buy rather than what you can afford. The parts alone in the kit would cost you almost $6000 and we are not doing it for free.
If you don't want the fuel return kit or the electronic boost controller, we can pull it down closer to $6k. If you don't want the worlds best manifold and are ok with a cheaper manifold then you are down to $4500.
We made a decision very early on that our turbo system would be the best on the market, without using gold leaf on the intercooler. And btw, I'm familiar with those HKS kits, and they don't usually offer nearly what we are offering... it's going on an already turbo'd car you know.
Also, we have some really great products coming in the $5000 range that will make great power too. Nothing is by accident.
