Well the fuel itself doesn't burn rich. Without technicality, it just burns. It's the amount of fuel determined from the ECU that regulates whether you run lean or rich. And the black "soot" on your exhaust tip is just carbon. It's the residue from the exhaust itself. Every exhaust you see will have a black tip. If it's white, then they're most likely running C16 race gas or any equivelant. Seems like you've got the older version of the intake. Go buy some cams to help compensate you running rich
. Other than buying another intake of the revised family, you really have no other choice than to live with the light or hope that it doesn't come on.
