Not to be used for direct application on painted or lacquered surfaces is what it says on the spray can. Works way mo' bettah than most so-called "air-fresheners. Another good product is made by "Yankee Candle;" 'Citrus Sage' is the one my Sis likes for knocking out cooking smells.

Sage citrus is a wonderful smell. When I was decorating a buddy's apartment I brought him those candles to keep it smelling nice. He loved it and all the guys and gals that would come over loved it too. Needless to say, it's a great "guy scent"
