it's just because people are stuck with the idea that Civics are slow. Just saying the word "civic" is kind of just unimpressive, because up until the 8th gens, they WERE slow. Then Honda decided to all of a sudden make it into a performance car, but the Civic name still holds the slow connotation. Just give it a few years...

and I totally agree with leeban about the Mustang thing. My old car was a '94 mustang, V6. Everyone would be SO impressed when I told them I drive a Mustang, and that would kinda piss me off cus it is such a sloowww car, that was with dual exhaust and a CAI too. A stock Mustang drives like a ******* minivan.
And now that I've got a Civic, everyone's just like "oh...it's a Civic." but **** 'em. It's just a DX-G (manual) but yet it's still 10 times more fun to drive than a mustang and uses almost half the gas.
I do miss the feel of rear-wheel drive though...but ah well.
