1000 a month is good if you can maintain it. No worries then as long as you don't keep using your card for other stuff. It is very easy to get carried away.

Just a little note: If 10.25% is your variable APR, the CC companies add that to the Wall Street Journal published prime rate, which is around 6-7% right now so you are actually paying 16-17%. It's mentioned in every credit card app. The variable APR can also change at any time, even daily, depending on how they wanna assess their risk lending you money. Their job is to squeeze every penny outta you and they are good at it.
