NOOOOOO do NOT try to shift without the clutch at 8 grand or you will be calling AAA.
If you want a piston sitting in your passenger seat with you... then try that.
Powershifting means not lifting your foot off the gas when you shift. Try it a WHOLE bunch at like 5500 or 6000 rpm before you start doing it near your redline... this is definitely something you'll need to practice.
