[Trav-Is_Si]

So I went to the dealership (Westwood Honda) where I bought my 07 Si and I told them about the 3rd grind/notch/pop-out issue showed them the TSB for the problem and asked if they could fix it.

They booked me an appointment and I had a mechanic (Stu) diagnose my car. Him and I went for a quick test and he said that he noticed the notchiness issue (really obvious on my car). The gear didn't grind during the short trip but he agreed that there was definitely a problem.

Stu was a really nice guy. He told the service rep to book me in for a 2nd and 3rd gear replacement (covered under warranty). The sales guy was trying to hint/tell him to say that there wasn't really an issue on my car since the job will take about 8-9 hrs of labor plus parts. Also, the TSB is for the U.S. and there hasn't been one released for Canada yet, so I'm not sure if the dealership's costs will be covered by Honda Canada.

Anyway, just wanted to let my fellow 8thgen members know that there ARE some good and honest mechanics/technicians out there! And I'm really happy to have them look and hopefully repair this annoying problem once and for all.

I wasn't expecting them to replace my 2nd gear (since it isn't part of the TSB)... oh well, I guess as long as they don't screw up my car during the repair then all is good!
