Theres going to be an autocross Sunday may 4th in Warminster, PA which is like 10 minutes away from northeast Philly. You can have a stock car to race or a car with mods, it doesn't matter.
Registration if your not a SCCA member is $30 + $15 for a weekend membership. So not being a member pretty much costs $45. The good thing is that you can use those $15 towards your actual membership if you decide to join after the event. To become and actual member it costs $80.
I've done autocross in the past and it is a lot of fun and addicting. I've never autocrossed my civic tho, so we'll see how i do. I am not a member myself yet. Last year you did not need to be a member in order to participate, atleast for the Philly region, but this year they changed the rules.
Warminster is a nice open field, i believe the place was an airstrip a while ago but is now a closed park which the region uses for us to participate. I've been there before and it is fun.
Im making this post to invite some civics to come out and have fun, we can have a mini civic meet there and show the other people how its done lol.
