We're just trying to avoid disrespectful posts as much as possible. The street race threads seemed to be chock full of people who log on and post just to flame one another. That's not cool. We also don't condone street racing. If you want to race, do it safe and legally.
VIP members are opting to pay a premium, so they get additional benefits, one being that they can post just about anything they want in the VIP section.
For example, if I made a post in the VIP area about killing a WRX in the street, an avid member of a WRX forum wouldn't be able to post that all Civic owners drive a POS and suck ass because it wouldn't be worth it to pay the membership money to do so. And thus that also keeps members from this site from lashing back. It doesn't mean that other VIP members wouldn't flame me though. Please note that this is not the only reason why street racing posts aren't permitted in the free section. If you really want to post your street racing threads for free, there are plenty of other forums and blogs that support those stories.
Well, anyhow I hope you understand why we want to keep the stories out of the free section.
