I test drove the new Smart Car (BTW not a good choice of cars) I saw the EPA MPG and laughed out loud for a good 5 mins. Its rated 30 city and 36 highway and cost between 13-17K sounds a lot like my Civic LX.
Salesman came out and we started talking. I asked what would be a good reason to trade in my Civic for one of these cars....his first response was the MPG, I said my 07 LX gets the same mileage, its larger and its quicker, so try again. His response was there is no way that is possible, we walked to the car and I showed him my gauge and mileage (4 bars left and I was at 330 miles), he then sat in the passenger seat and its really roomy and comfy, I took him out for a spin, left the dealer and squealed the tires then chirped the shift. He was impressed and said to me I don't know what to tell you or how to change your mind and get into a far inferior car.
