service managers make commissions . THe more money he brings in the more money he makes. Warranty work is the last thing he wants to do/offer to anyone who comes in with a problem. Since the warranty work/repair are all given by honda they'd have to finish it within the time frame they were given or else they'd lose money. Where as non warrantied repairs/services are given the maximum default hours unlike the hours honda give them to get warrenty work done.
oil change only takes 10 minutes but honda charges an hour of labor. = profit
Warrenty work may take 5 hours but honda only gives the dealership 3 = do it fast or you get fired LOL
