I just got some Honda Bond from a local Honda Powersports dealer. Dug out some of the old goo in the headlight and filled it in with new Honda bond. Baked them back together in the oven and it seemed to work pretty well.
Been a year so far and no issues yet.
If you want to take a crack at those headlights, why not? At least that way if you mess something up you only messed up relatively inexpensive ebay lights and not expensive OEM's. Plus if you are going to be hacking them to pieces, ebay lights should be fundamentally fine. You'll have to reseal them and do other work to them anyway.

I see why you have authority here....you can use basic logic haha. Most of the members here seem to think that if it has ebay + headlights in the name it is just a waste. I think I will eventually be a guinea pig for the resealing of ebay headlights and possibly a few other mods as well. I will try that Honda Bond you suggested, thanks! I have a few purchases so it may be about a month until I can do this, but I would be open to any and all suggestions in the meantime.
