25k on mine without any problems, and I'm not alone. My guess is that the original parts are somewhat prone to failure, whether that be from driving styles, slight variations in production tolerances, or something else entirely. A significant number of transmissions are affected, and I'm happy Honda has a solution. BTW, the parts have apparently been in service with late production cars, and I haven't read of any problems with them.
It would be in everyone's best interest to set aside plans for vengeance and work with your service department to get your car fixed. The TSB is dated April 12th, so don't be surprised or pissed that your service manager isn't familiar with it. You finally have what you need to get the work done. Print the TSB, talk with them in person, and have them drive your car
with you. Drive for them if that's what it takes to replicate the problem.
