I dunno what to expect really in the auto market. Like I said in the first post, they need to raise prices to keep their profits the same. But auto sales are already sluggish due to our lagging domestic economy. Maybe they'll just shift to heavier emphasis on econo cars and even though the prices go up, people that were used to spending 30-35K$ on SUV's/sport sedans will be willing to pay for a High end civic at $2k over todays prices. I don't know, but it's not good. As far as U.S. automakers, they source quite a bit of their prouduction parts from China and overseas, so we'll be hit too.
I supported Ron Paul for Pres. It was a longshot, but I felt like I helped get the message out. As far as the wars, Just abot everyone was for them in 2001-2003. Heck, they cost my family personally 2.5 million dollars. My dad was an airline pilot about to retire at the time, and they took away his 2.5mil pension payout after they went through bankruptcy reorganization after 9/11. But everybody knows this war is pretty much un-winnable. Anyone who knows radical Islam knows that the "radicals" won't be satisfied until the world is converted. And if we don't convert, they kill us. And that they are happy to take innocent lives as well as their own. We have much more justification for going into Iran than we ever did with Iraq. I just don't think we need to initiate it. Let someone else in that region spearhead the thing.
I dunno. I consider myself fairlly up on Geo-politics. But it's like a chess game where you must think many moves ahead, and understand the skills of your opponent. I haven't come up with what to do myself, but it's not my job either!
