The fabrication is to cut off the top of the strut housings and empty the shock guts out of it..... then make a 2" OD thread on the exterior of the strut housings about 3/4 inch down from the top where it's cut off. It requires the proper external tube threader die and you could do it yourself. I'd say it will be a whole lot easier to send your housings to us or pay the core charge so you can bolt everything right on.
