I have a "pager" at work from USA Mobility. It's just a little text thing with a qwerty keyboard on it. You could probrably get a plan for cheap, I'm sure it's way cheaper than a cell phone.

I have the P900 but it looks like it's not available anymore, the other one like it is though.
