Agreed.
Most conservatives believe in rolling with the punches anyway. But I don't think this is a liberal or conservative issue. It's society as a whole. We steralize everything, radiate our food, add new genetic strains to veggies; helmets on bikes, skate boards, rollerblades; car seats until they're practially 12; airbag, safety line; don't pick on the little guy, don't spank, don't yell, don't upset junior, politically correct as not to offend the world, no cussing; too much violence parenal controling games and tv; Ritalin injesting, high protein packed our damned kids to the point that they are adults. When you think about how "protected" kids are today it makes you wonder how previous generations survived beyond the womb.
And then we sit back and wonder why little Suzy is wiggling her tatas in way too tight clothing while little Joey is giving her the shocker in the playground after school. We've taken away all that keeps them kids. We as a nation have allowed the government to take away parental rights. Yes, the liberals of the late 80's and early 90's paved the way for this but the conservatives didn't exactly fight back. Now look. I don't want kids because the thrill is lost beyond 3 then they own you. Plus, I'd probably do 10 years in jail for spanking my shoplifting, back talking punk when a rapist is off in 3.
My hat is off to every parent out there. Parent's get blamed for a lot but really, their hands are tied. I wish it were easier for them. I wish I could see more of them smiling
before the kids go off to college. It seems like from the time the kids are 4 until they are 18 they look stressed beyond all belief.
Sorry. That friggin story just really pissed me off.
