^^Sony doesn't offer Xbox Live, the Live Marketplace, and the constant updates that come with having Live. Sony also doesn't offer Gears of War, Halo 3, Forza II, or an online experience like Live. Almost everything available on PS3 is also available for 360, but again - there is no Live which makes them less desirable in my eyes.
Don't get me wrong, I want a PS3 also, but that's mainly for the BlueRay player and Metal Gear Solid when it comes out.
Really silly to say one is better than the other since they both have their ups and downs.

I would do that (did it with my PS2 way back in the day) but I'm afraid of them checking/matching up serial numbers. It's not so easy to do that these days.
