What REALLY gets to me, however, is how unconcerned American Honda Customer Service Reps are at helping you. Kenitra at American Hodna was outstandingly rude to me, called me at times I said I wasn't unavailable, and ultimately closed my case without ever even looking into it.
This, unfortunately, has been the majority of my experience with American Honda. They are lucky they have a reputation backing them, because as far as I'm concerned, their customer service is below Chevrolet, below Comcast, below the scummiest landlords in the country. Truly crooked.
I'm sorry to hear about your story. I would've sued the living **** out of that dealership. American Honda would've quickly worked to resolve your complaint if you had, I suspect.

The only reason I can think of why things are like that is the client base. The majority of people who buy Hondas do so because they are reliable cars (rattling, thin painnt and 3rd gear issues aside). Most of those people probably don't know their a** from their elbow when it comes to maintenance and minor problems (in comparison to say owning a Pontiac G6 or Grand Prix) and do not pay attention to details the enthusiasts or specific car owners do. So they can rest on their Laurels knowing that only 10,000 out of 170,000 Civic owners a year have complaints. We are just gnats buzzing around their ego inflated heads.
I mean, things only become an issue with them when the media or lawyers get involved, or so it seems.
