Summary:
Bought car in May 2007. Started experiencing problems later withing the first few weeks. Informally contacted dealer via e-mail and was told to see if it kept on experiencing problems. Brought into local Honda dealer for first oil change and expressed concern about problem. Was told that technician didn't see a problem, but if I had one, it was due to "user error"; disgusted, I moved on. At 7500 mile checkup, I brought in and again told that there was no problem. Since September, I have been told that there was nothing I could do. They also told me that they could drop transmission out of engine to see if there was a problem, but if they didn't see anything, I would be paying for the labor, which they said would amount to anywhere between $900-1200. I was not willing to take the chance, so I have been waiting for some course of action to this day.
On 3/24/08 I called Honda of America (selection #5) and spoke to Kar Wan? case number N012008-03-2401966. He told me that all he could do was to put my case on record and that he nor Honda had never heard of any problem relating to the one I was reporting. I was not told of anyone who would contact me in the future. It has been 2.5 days and I have not heard a response.
