Just an added note: You don't have to remove the two screws behind the pocket door under the dash if you're just trying to remove the top portion of the driver's side of the dash (over the steering wheel). I know that this thread is about replacing the HU, so anyone with such a plan will have to remove the screws anyway, but I was using the tutorial to determine how to pull off the above-mentioned panel in order to mount a knob in the top pocket (well, it's a true pocket in my car). In the tutorial pictures, it looks like the power window controls occupy that pocket. My window controls are on the door, so that space is empty.
