I think this is pretty cool. I have been riding for the last 5 years. I started out with a Katana 600. Then went to a Honda Shadow Spirit 750 (if Honda made a refrigerator I'd buy it) and finally I have a Kawasaki Ninja 250. Each bike has had less power than the previous one.
The reason is simple. Too many people buy a large bike and never truly use the bike to its potential. When I owned my Katana, you never saw me tucking way down into corners or hitting 140 mph on the highway. So why pay 6-7 grand? I paid $3,800 (after taxes) for my little 250 and I'll be using every ounce of that rpm range... from zero to redline. Not to mention the 60+ mpg!
