Definitely something to be concerned about but I've worked with RTV for over a decade and paid close attention when I filled to void to ensure that there were no air bubbles behind it (to expand and contract as MAP varies from ~2-15 psi). I'm pretty confident in it's holding characteristics but will check on it when I have it apart to install my IMG.
