OK, its not really free. (nothings for free) It will cost you an hour, less than 10' of wire, one relay and you have to have an aftermarket alarm with starter kill (or develop a "ground when armed" wire).
Three steps to making your Moon roof remote control from your key chain.
1. To make your moon roof functional even when the car is off. connect these two wires together.
2. To make your moonroof remote control close you need to do the following
A. connect up a relay like this
B. Wrap your relay with something so it doesn't rattle around in the roof.
C. Shove that relay up there between the moonroof and the switch. connect the green and blue wire as shown. The red wire connects to your ground when armed wire. Usually orange on most aftermarket alarms.
3. To have remote tilt moonroof do Steps B except connect the green relay wire to the light green wire on the moonroof switch. And the red relay wire connects to ground when unarmed on your alarm (usually red/white on most aftermarket alarms).
FYI this will not work with my
DIY: Radar detector hard wire install while you have the headliner off you may want to run an accessory wire up there for your radar detector.
