3RD Gear TSB Completed!!!

Count me in... I'll be calling tomorrow.

CASE NUMBER:
xxxxxxxx-xx--xxxxxxx not given

WHO:
Lou Essey(skiz)

WHAT:
2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe

MY PROBLEMS:
(a) notchy shifting
(b) resistance going into 2nd and 3rd gear
(c) grinding related to 2nd and 3rd gear
(e) extreme care needed to insure 3rd gear engages, feels like you shift into 3rd twice.
(f) a third gear with an imprecise gate that sometimes allows for the shifter to be unsure

SUMMARY:
Country: U.S.A.
Call Taker’s Name: Felicia
Case Manager’s Name: Terrance
What Happened:
Nov 20, 2006 I just got the car back from the dealer... they called tech line about my grind 2nd - 3rd. They told him that there was no TSB or anything for that problem, but to flush tranny and fill with the NEW 6-speed fluid. I have to say it does feel much smoother. My service manager delivered my car to me and he even said that it felt smoother to him (i expected him to say that)

UPDATE #1 March 20, 2008: OK I just got off the phone with her and explained what was going on and that the MTF fix was applied. Now just 2 months later the notchy shifts and trouble shifting into 3rd are back with a vengence. After being on hold for 6 minutes she comes back and says that there is nothing in the system about my 'problems' and to take it back to the dealership again to have them try to duplicate it. I told her that when they had it for the day on Jan. 06, 2008 nothing was found but they did a flush and refill with the new MTF as per the tech line. She said that there was no waranty charged for it so there is nothing she can do at this time.

UPDATE #2 March 24, 2008: HOA called me... I was in a location for work that does not get cell phone reception. So I did not get the message until later in the day. I called Terrance back and left him a VM and I am back to waiting for a return call to see what they want/ need from me.

UPDATE #3 June 18, 2008: Took the Si in for oil change and have a tech drive the car for the 3rd gear TSB(for the third time). After waiting for the car and expecting the service manager to come out and say "sir, we changed the oil and topped your fliuds... but we fail to replicate your transmission problems". He told me the tech ordered the parts and they were on backorder.

Friggin WOOO HOOOO!!!!

Now
I wait...

UPDATE #4 July22, 2008: The Si went into the shop and I got her back on the 25th... she shifts very nicely now... my baby was raped very hard in the 124 miles that she sat on the lot before I bought her.
