I would think that after the fanboys cleared out it was definitely shown that respect is given towards ion rl's and ss/sc's, but for some reason you decided to point out the flaws in the si.
I mean, we could all do that with any car out there.. The ms3 doesn't get fresh air for shit so in real life conditions it only makes about 225whp on a good day. The rx8 handles badass but drinks oil and gets garbage gas mileage.. The 135i is underrated and with a tune makes close to 400whp, but god forbid anything ever fail on it because it's so expensive to fix. The ion RL is a badass little car but 98% of the owners don't know how to drive one so I have yet to see one run under a 15.5, due to spinning through 1st and bogging in 2nd.
There's no reason to come in here and insult cars man.. Hopefully you can ignore the fanboys that can't get over the H badge long enough to recognize a nice car and notice that a lot of us actually respect and like your car.
I would also hate to point it out, but your post sounded almost as fanboy as some of the pro-honda posts in here. How is that better?

I believe Firm pointed out most of this already, but you need to keep an open mind about "cars" in general, because your arguments make you look very childish.
And for what it's worth I got $18,500 on my trade for my civic, and I sat in my car for 11,000 miles.

Alright, guys, i wasn't trying to be an a$$hole or start any shit (it WAS 1:30am when i wrote it) I say to each his own because that's how i feel. I came on this board asking questions about the SI, especially the sedan. I have nothing but respect for your cars, really. If they get the tranny problem solved, then I'll probably sign for a SI sedan.
I could sit here and write about all the negatives on the Delta platform if you want.
Saturn Ion RL is plastic, inside and out. ION ftl. I don't have any dents or rust, and probably never will, but I hear squeaks and whatnot over harsh roads where i probably wouldn't hear that in the civic.
Resale value is horrible. I went in one time to get a ball-park figure of what my car would be worth at trade-in, they only offered me 11k. At a Saturn dealership, no less.
Interior is about as non-luxury as it gets. It has just enough gauges to get the job done, that's about it. (Only speedo, fuel, engine temp and a tach that lags about 500 rpm behind in 1st and 2nd gear). However, the interior, plastic-ky as it may be, still looks brand new because of how tough it is.
The rear spoiler is tacky. Not my style, but it came with the car. At highway speed, it wobbles "like an epileptic hula dancer" (car and driver, 2006). On bumpy roads, it is even worse. Closing the trunk requires you to guide it down so it won't slam too hard, for fear of the spoiler bouncing right off.
I could go on... I have many complaints, but I still love the car, it's fun to drive, handles well, and responds well to minor mods. About the only complaints I have heard and read about the SI is its lack of torque, its interior wears down fast and its tranny has a 3rd gear problem. Not enough to deter me from still being interested.
IF I came across like a fanboi, my bad. Wasn't my intention. (was actually trying to be a little humorous... guess it didnt work. I may or may not have been a little drunk last night...and I may or may not have a killer hangover right now)
