Few months ago I noticed a quite large bug that had hit against my hood and splattered on it. Right when I saw it, I cleaned it right away. After that, I noticed an orange spot on my paint that will NOT come off. Tried claying, waxing, cleaning, nothing. It's not like it's on the paint, it looks like it's in the paint. Almost as if it was ink or something. Ever hear of anything like that?

The bug probably drank some orange Kool-Aid or was playing paintball with orange balls before he went to the great bug swamp in the sky.
All kidding aside, that discoloration indicates that an enzyme in the bug possibly ate through the clear coat, causing the discoloration.
I am going to leave this to Rasky, but I am wondering what would happen if you put a little bleach or Hydrogen Peroxide on a Q-tip and gently swabbed the area?
