What the hell does "pfft" mean?

I am just trying to help. First off if you bought a new trunk it would not come painted- NO replacement sheetmetal parts come painted except a few trim pieces. And secondly, the new trunk lid would still have the "H" holes in it.

Like I said the first time- If you want to get rid of the holes and have the trunklid repainted your better off fixing the one you have to begin with.

Now, since the sedans have a trim piece the runs the whole width of the trunk lid, you may save some $$ by having the shop create a paint line underneath the trim piece, which would save having to clear the entire lid....

What most shops will do is scuff down the trunk lid paint/feather the paint over the repaired area, and then reclearcoating the trunk lid....If you put new paint on the entire trunk lid then you run the chance with not matching the paint with the existing paint on the quarter panels...And with honda's metallic paint, it would not match well if they did.....

GOOD LUCK! POST PICS WHEN YOUR DONE!!
