i always rev match when downshifting 2+ gears (single clutch), but when upshifting i dont, since there is no jerk.. i will go from 3rd to 6th a lot.. since im in no hurry when going from 3rd to 6th, i guess i could double clutch, but i was wondering how it differs from downshifting.. im thinking i can just put it in neutral, and let off the clutch for 1 second, then shift.. cuz im upshifting, so i wont need to rev the engine, thus why i can just clutch in > neutral > clutch out for 1 second (while doing nothing else) > clutch in > 6th > clutch out.. right? is this how you double clutch upshift 2+ gears? im guessing when you let the clutch out, the tranny is forced to match engine speed, which is at about 2000 rpms at that time probably, since it has had time to fall from where you were in 3rd, thus the tranny matches engine speed automatically without you pressing on the gas at all, right?
