The problem with these cars is that the rear tires feather very easily, I went 20,000 miles without rotating the tires and had to replace the rear tires (they were feathered beyond use) -- I'm use to having older cars and never rotated tires, now I rotate them every 4,000 miles.
It doesn't matter how soon you rotate the tires as long as it's under 8,000 miles and consistent (every 5,000 miles for instance). If you rotate them at 4,000 one time and then wait 7,000 the next, you'll begin to get uneven tire wear. So if you start to rotate them every oil change make sure you change the oil at consistent intervals (i.e. every 5,000 miles)
