no doubt. if there putting in the grind work they should protect it.
what i was getting at is the jdm ecu will offer them the option to freely crack the system. put a kpro on it and code it back up to protect tampering with relative ease.
especially compared to our ecu which is locked up tighter then a catholic nuns panties.

i think all of us just want a solution at this point and it should take them no time at all to get one moving forward if they ditch the usdm ecus all together and go with the jdm platform.

if of course all this turns out to be true and the jdm ecus indeed have no cipher code.
