nyc to boca cost me about 150 in gas one way (~2.89/gal). i drove there in mid august with the AC on the entire way and i got about 35mpg i think. still cant quite remember but as stated it was about 150 in gas. i had some water in the trunk and i took a sandwich with me because i left nyc at 6am. took about 20 hours with a stop around 10 or 11am for some fast food breakfast and maybe around 5pm for another meal and then as soon as i entered florida, i grabbed some late night kfc. i got to boca around 1 or 2am and went to bed. maybe an hour before i got there i got a red bull which i only drank like half of. i had a passenger with me so all i pretty much need to stay awake is someone to talk to me to keep my brain going. just make sure your tires are good. i had about 7500 miles on the car when i drove there. all i did was get an oil change before making the trip and that's about it.

only thing is to moniter how you sit in the Si seat. I leaned a little to my right and because of the design of the seat (assumption/opinion) i caught a bad pain in my lower right back for about a day or two in florida when i got there. that shit made me start thinking i had kidney stones but it went away. i gues try to sit as upright as possible and if not upright, at least centered in the seat. have fun. i cant wait to go on another long drive with the Si.
