Just curious for those of you with gear problems.

Lately, it's been cold here in florida (anything below 60 is cold to me). anyways, as shifting into gears (i have an 07 si), it's been a bit harder for it to go into gear, but nevertheless it did and with no grinds. As the temp. here as been rising, the gears going into place has been smoother. Ever since i've been reading on the 3rd gear issuse some other people have, i have been reluctant to shift into that gear if it's not necessary (ie down-shifting). well today, i decided to get over that fear and shift into third particularly (from shifting from 2nd to 3rd, downshifting, etc.) to see what would happen. fortunately, no grinds at all.

my questions to you guys with the issue are:

1. do you guys get the grind when shifting from 2nd to 3rd?

2. do you guys get the grind when just shifting into 3rd while coasting and need to get it into the gear to match the speed?

3. do u guys get the grind shifting slowly or normally (ie not forcefully but firmly) or both?

4. what year is ur Si?

5. did you guys first get this grind upon purchasing ur Si?

6. how bad are ur grinds? do u just feel a crunch or do you feel and hear a loud grind?
