I also have been trying to reproduce patterns which might lead to incomplete shifts, and so far haven't been able to reliably reproduce the problem. It appears randomly. I think I'm noticing a trend when slowing down on a decline and shifting from 4th -> 3rd, but it doesn't happen all the time. More often it occurs when shifting from 2nd to 3rd.

You should come to Minnesota. All I have to do to get it to happen is start driving while it's still cold.
And before you all start screaming at me to leave it at a dealer so they can see it..... Don't bother. The dealers around here will just pretend it didn't happen.
