Stop speaking for the majority. 80% think they have the issue? If their transmisison pops out of gera or grinds, I don't think that is "thinking" they have the issue.

Not all of Si owners have third gear issues, as User_name arrogantly pointed out. However, a good many do, and are completely justified in complaining about it. Some users on here who don't have the problem love to assume that we either a.) don't know how to drive or b.) don't really have a problem because they don't, and they are idiots. I am speaking to no one in specific about that.

If they issued a recall for this, it would cost them a ton of money to have to drop every affected transmission and replace parts. It's not something trivial like a Toyota recall for the carpet mats sliding during driving. It's quite a large issue. No cars tranny should have to be dropped so soon. My car has 20,000 miles on it, and it has needed its transmission repaired for almost 15,000 of those 20,000. Uncool.
