the difference between the car to bike analogy is that ur surrounded in metal while a bike u dont have anything around you. I see everyhting you say on a daily basis on bike forums. Most people come and ask if they should get this and this bike and then everyone tells em to get a starter bike but then they object and promise they are safe and well maintained. honestly, at this point we can't convince you to go to a smaller bike. I guess its up to you now.
