As for the car being too expensive. The tax in Illinois for a car is about $1,400 on it's own plus $140 or so on plates. There are a few other fees that every dealer would of charged so they're legit. It's not like the car itself cost $6,000 more.
Also, did you get an automatic transmission or manual? Did your price include the destination fee like mine? I worked on getting a Civic EX for a few months and this is by far the best deal I'd be able to find anywhere within the area.

I see. Yes the deal that I got was a promotion that Honda was running when I purchased my car. I was able to get an SI non Navi for $19,988.00. With tax/license/registration it came out to $21,888.00. I thought I got a fair deal.
