Today after class I stormed in there and looked for the sales guy that ripped me a new one. All of a sudden the finance guy form behind greets me and I look at him in the eye and said in a loud angry voice "I don't want this car, you ripped me off!" He told me to calm down and to come into his office because he will explain things better. Inside he told me I can take off the gap, warranty, life insurance to bring down the car to 21k like he promised originally. Not good enough. You see, this guy didn't give me the official contract yesterday. That is illegal. I reminded him of this and he calmly says "Let me check if I forgot to give you your copy of the contract. Oh here it is, I'm sorry I left it in my desk, It was a human error we all make em". I didn't care, I told him I am not taking this car because every time I look at it it reminds me of how I got robbed and it leaves me with a sour taste in my mouth. I also told him 2 other local honda dealers will give me this exact car for 18k otd. He said impossible then He said I'll go talk with my boss, then comes back and says "okay, let me have the keys. The bank didn't approve your loan anyways, so good luck finding this car for $18,000 otd." I then asked for this return in writing so he came back with a Rescission agreement which was signed by a witness and by me and got a copy of that for myself and stormed out of there. I went to another honda dealer and they made the calculations for the same exact car: 2008 civic sedan ex automatic with no navi for $18,000+freight($650) a processing fee($299) and taxes. OTD came out to be $19,174. The salesman with my social was trying to figure out how to finance this for me. He told me that because of the fact I have a $15,000 debt with the dodge dakota which is also under my name, with no money down the payments are gonna be high, regardless of the fact I make on average about $4,000 a month. I told him I'm gonna grab a bite and I'll be back in an hour. So here I am. I think the price is really good, but Ultimately I will not pay more than $350 a month. So therefore I will just ask for the invoice of $19,174 and tell him I'm going to finance it myself with my credit union.
