Have it taper to an outlet that is roughly the same diameter as the pipe in this picture. I would remove the resonator box and fender tube and connect this new part to the prexisiting tube.

This is a well thought out setup. It certainly has merit. Since the FA5's don't have the dedicated holes for the fog lights, could the intake tube be placed in the lower intake area?
