This is where I see a ram air type product going. I posted my idea in regards to this setup about 6 months ago. Is the black plastic insert for the fog light easily removed from the bumper or is it bonded to it? Ie can I remove it to modify it and/or replace it easily with a factory replacement. My idea was to cut the fog light hole out, install a ram air tube that connects to the factory airbox piping and remove the resonator and tube to the fender. At a minimum it would provide cool air into the engine if not directly connect to a future X-intake cold air box.

The expression "ram air" typicaly refers to isolated combustion air for the engine that is forced-fed from vehicle velocity(speed)If taken from a high pressure area(foglight location)any forward facing air intake should be capeable of increasing the force in the inlet system. Because the inlet is supplied at over ambient temperature, the manifold density is increase as a result. One can calculate the additional force by applying the equation
