The Gruppe M box ix big $$. I really don't feel like hacking up a Gruppe M at this point.
I'm not a fan of using our stock air box and factory tubing. We need something that will be able to flow 10-20% more air volume or at least have reserve air flow.

Right you are Peter. I am afraid that trying to adapt our present system will be an effort in futility. The issue is air volume as you aptly said. We need a box that is large enough in area to allow the filter to draw in sufficient air.
I have had the respiratory flu, so I am a little out of commission. When I get back on my feet, I am going to take a hard look at the cowl area and see about accessing the area also used for the ventilation.
