I am linking this thread with a DIY that one of the 8th Gen members has done for a homemade Icebox. The issue now seems to be to find a housing that will accomodate a larger filter like that on the Apexi or K&N. Nevertheless, there are people that are striving to bring in colder, rammed air into the motor.
