they'll probably loosen up a bit over time, but why would you want to remove them? once you feel the difference you'll never want to take them out. are you worrying about the dealer making a stink if you have 3rd gear issues?

i also thought of another method for getting the big bushing on. you could cut a small piece off the end of some pvc conduit/pipe and tape it against the bushing then tap it with a hammer. by the way, if you freeze it, you'll have to get it out to you're car pretty quick to take adantage of the expanded hole. try wrapping a cold pack around it when you're taking it out to your car. good luck!
