I've gotten 32mpg before on a long road trip to Houston, all 99.9% highway, .1% merging to the highway from the gas station...
It's doable, but for practical reasons and everyday driving most people SHOULD be able to get around 25mpg.
I fill up my tank around 250-280 miles, with about 2 bars left usually. 11 gallons or so
