I like to use the kind that comes in the bottle, not the spray.

It is best to take two old t-shirts (or one old one cut in half ect) and use one to do the two applications (put the product directly on the t-shirt), and use the other to wipe it out after it has fogged for a minute or two.

I agree though, not the easiest stuff to apply properly but still worth it. Also using a glass cleaner before helps. Invisible glass is good, use newspaper with Invisible Glass. If you use car wash the 'wax' can get on the glass and make it harder to apply Rain-X.
