ya i thought about this a lot but decided to go with the k&n drop-in. I have low enough <3k rpm torque as it is, don't need less (for those rare gas saving moods). My best guess is that the HP gain is with the hood open, I wonder what (if any) gains the car would have under normal operating conditions. I would think any SRI would suck in much hotter air than the stock intake which grabs air from the fender and is isolated from the engine's heat.
