I went from a 225/40/18 on a 18 x 7.5 wheel to a 235/40/17 on a 17 x 8 wheel. That actually made the car look better than it did on the 18. The car is a half inch closer to the ground with the 17's than the 18's. Sooooooooo, you can get more of a slammed look with 17's than you can with 18's.
